Derek Scherer, an innovative technological optimist and passionate 3D Interactive Graphics specialist, is building Corpusim, a uniquely powerful and open-source biomedical graphics tool. Dubbed a “flight simulator for the human body,” Corpusim aims to revolutionize understanding of human biology by allowing interaction at any region and any scale, thus making strides towards eliminating diseases. This project builds on procedural generation and open data to make an in-depth and interactive human body simulation practical and achievable.
