With recent scares of Monkey Pox and Eastern Equine Encephalitis, concerns were raised about lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. Are we prepared for another? This Digital Health Innovation Forum looks at opportunities for digital supports to process improvement and data sharing in managing future outbreaks. This will be in the context of the response in the Kansas City area. We will address questions like:
What were some of the local responses to COVID?
What challenges were encountered during Covid from a digital perspective?
Did anything improve over time?
What sort of reporting mechanism is required, and could it be universal?
Is surveillance part of the equation? If so, what sort of systems are in place for that?
What about contact tracing?
What sort of challenge is presented by the Kansas/Missouri state line?
How would we get to a regional pandemic preparedness program?
Can technology address the equity challenges raised by COVID?
Join us as we relate experiences, insights, and strategies to overcome such hurdles. We look forward to your contributions and ideas in building a more resilient digital infrastructure for future pandemics.
