The Ugly Truth of Fan Engagement
Jason Houseworth | FanThreeSixty

The game of fan engagement is changing. With companies like Amazon and Netflix setting the standards for personalized experiences, sports teams are faced with the challenge to deliver similar “in-the-moment” experiences. But here’s the kicker: there’s an ugly truth about fan engagement that no one wants to talk about. More data doesn’t always equal more knowledge, and technology alone, like AI, won't solve the problem. Data that is not actionable is useless, and this is the problem today. Something I like to call "the visibility paradox," sports teams and businesses alike are struggling to make sense of the data they have. This paradox has set a common misconception that what we see on the horizon - the raw data - is good enough. During Tech on Tap, I will share how FanThreeSixty uses predictive analytics and AI to help teams see beyond the horizon in order to make data actionable.

Jason Houseworth is the CEO of FanThreeSixty, former Chief Innovation Officer at H&R Block and has devoted his entire career to developing analytics-based software that simplifies the complex.
