The demand for computer science is growing so rapidly, it can be hard to keep up.

During this panel with leaders in computer science education, you will have the chance to learn all about this important aspect of tech. You can expect to walk away with a better understanding of the importance of CS Education, the current landscape of education policy, and what local schools are doing to implement CS Education in their curriculum. We will also talk future opportunities to get involved with the KC Tech Council.

You can look forward to hearing from the director of state government affairs at Code.org, Katie Hendrickson, curriculum director at St. Teresa's Academy, Jo Weller, software engineering team leader at Garmin, Julie Jamieson, and executive director of KC STEM Alliance, Martha McCabe.

As always, beer and wine will be provided, along with light appetizers, and the chance to meet passionate tech and education advocates like yourself.
